GANADO Advocates participates in Annual Cape Town Convention Academic Project on 13-14 September 2016 Published on September 19, 2016 Dr Max Ganado and Dr Daniel Aquilina, Partners at GANADO Advocates, recently attended the annual Cape Town Convention Academic Project conference at the Blavatnik School of Government in Oxford, a joint project between the University of Oxford Law Faculty and the Washington School of Law. The Project facilitates the study of the 2001 Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and its Protocols (collectively CTC) and seeks to inform and educate scholars, students, practicing lawyers, judges and other government officials and the industry. This year’s conference topics included a comparative analysis of aircraft, rail and space international registries and their regulatory provisions; an assessment of the legal and economic case for a shipping protocol; the status of CTC ratifications in Europe and Brexit implications on the UK ratification; and CTC and cross-border insolvency.
