In terms of the Merchant Shipping (Accident and Incident Safety Investigations), 2011, marine accidents and incidents involving all Maltese registered ships and / or foreign flagged ships navigating in Maltese waters shall be reported as soon as practicable and by the quickest available means, irrespective of their severity or perceived severity.
