Whistleblower Protection

EU Directive 2019/1937 has introduced several amendments to the Protection of the Whistleblower Act. The amendments came into force on the 18th of December 2021 and amongst other obligations it imposes on all private companies with over 50 employees the obligation to appoint a whistleblowing reporting officer and to introduce internal disclosure procedures for the reporting of improper practices.

During the webinar, the salient aspects of the obligations deriving from the Protection of Whistleblower Act, as well as the importance of having proper whistleblowing policies and procedures and the benefits that may be derived therefrom will be discussed.
