Jan Rossi to speak at AIJA shipping event in Valencia

This year, AIJA will be organising a 3-day conference, between the 29th September and 1st October, titled “Chartering the twenties: A public and private perspective” in Valencia.  This conference will give all attendees in the shipping industry an opportunity to discuss the latest trends and issues affecting charter party contracts, both from a private and a public aspect. The conference will focus on bankruptcies, IMO 2020 and its implementation by the different countries, flag aspects and the effects of virulent disease.

Jan Rossi, Senior Associate within Ganado Advocates’ shipping team, will participate in an open panel discussion entitled “Sanctions and their impact on various modes of transport” highlighting its effects on Malta as a shipping jurisdiction specifically on the effect of sanctions on the operations of the Registry of Ships (Malta), on the users of the Malta flag including shipowners and ship managers as well as certain particularities of Maltese law regulating the subject.

Marcus Rizzo Naudi, from the firm’s ship finance and aviation practice, will be attending the conference.

Ganado Advocates is also a key sponsor of this conference.
