Ganado Advocates supports ELSA Webinars Academy on maritime law

Lawyers from Ganado Advocates have been invited to contribute to the second edition of ELSA Webinars Academy Malta on maritime law. This 1-week long programme, which will take place between the 26th and 30th of July, consists of a series of lectures dealing with a variety of maritime law topics, delivered by leading professionals and academics in Malta. Organised yearly, the programme (previously known as ELSA Summer Law School) attracts law students from all over Europe who wish to familiarise themselves with the local shipping industry, the Maltese legal framework as well as recent industry trends and prevailing practices.

Matthew Attard will be providing students with a brief overview of the International Maritime Conventions and Matthew Xerri will be detailing ship financing procedures in Malta. In his presentation about judicial sales of vessels, Jan Rossi will be going over some practical examples of such a method of sale. Saman Bugeja will conclude this year’s academic programme with a presentation about the recycling of ships in accordance with International Conventions and Regulations.
