Participation of Ganado Advocates at launch of new strategy by Malta’s Tax and Customs Administration Author: Ganado Advocates Published on May 18, 2023 On 9 May, 2023, Malta’s Tax and Customs Administration launched its strategic plan for 2023 – 2025 entitled “Delivering Transformation” The launch at the Malta Conference Centre in Valletta included presentations by the Minister for Finance, the Commissioner for Revenue, a representative of the International Monetary Fund, and the head of the working group tasked with preparation of the strategy document. The event was attended by various tax practitioners as well as officers from the Tax and Customs Administration. Stephen Attard, Senior Partner in the firm’s Corporate Finance and Tax team, participated in a panel discussion where he focused on expectations of the financial services industry practitioners in respect of the Tax Administration’s strategy for the next 3 years, the challenges which Malta faces in the tax sphere, and the importance of international business for the growth of tax revenues for Malta.
