MFSA proposes new regulatory framework for CSPs Author: Published on February 13, 2013 The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) recently issued a Consultation Paper on the proposed regulation of corporate service providers (CSPs) in Malta in order to further implement EU Directive 2005/60/EC (the Third Money Laundering Directive) in particular the requirement that CSPs are “licensed or registered … in order to operate their business legally.” The local financial industry’s leading representative body, the IFSP, has submitted its views in a process in which GANADO also actively participated.
