Rosette Aquilina to participate in Society Education’s conference on Maltese company law

Society Education will be organising a 2-part virtual conference on the 29th November and 2nd December which will focus on certain aspects of Maltese company law.

The first day of the conference will provide an overview of the constitutive elements of shipping companies, a high-level understanding of the basic principles of corporate tax in Malta as well as the changes which will be brought about by the Mobility Directive that should be transposed across the EU by 31st January 2022. The second day of the conference will focus on the principles of good corporate governance of listed companies, the different types of voluntary liquidations as well as the important principles of the new Insolvency Regime.

Rosette Aquilina, senior associate within the corporate finance and tax practice, will be delivering a presentation about the changes that the Mobility Directive will bring about, mainly the introduction of cross-border conversions and cross-border divisions across EU Member States as well as the amended procedures relating to cross-border mergers.
