Email Tara Tara Cann Navarro Vcard Legal Counsel | Malta Tara Cann Navarro is Legal Counsel within Ganado Advocates’ capital markets practice. Her main areas of practice include assisting prospective issuers in private and public offerings of securities, listing on Maltese as well as foreign markets, also assisting listed issuers with their continuing obligations in terms of Malta’s listing rules and relevant EU securities regulation. Tara joined the firm after almost five years working with the MFSA in the team responsible for the processing of applications for admissibility to listing, public offers, the scrutiny and review of prospectuses and for recommending their approval or otherwise to the relevant approving body. In her time with the MFSA, Tara also participated in a number of fora at a European level, led various policy formulation projects and was involved in the implementation/transposition of various EU legal texts of a capital markets’ nature into Maltese law. Prior to moving to the MFSA, Tara spent six years working with a local top-tier law firm assisting clients with the raising of debt finance through bond issues on the local stock exchange, financial services regulation, M&A transactions and corporate restructuring projects.
