Mark Caruana Scicluna

Mark Caruana Scicluna is a Senior Associate at Ganado Advocates within the Investment Services & Funds Team. He assists in the structuring, licensing, and ongoing servicing of funds across a wide spectrum of asset classes in both the retail and alternative space. Mark also specialises in the establishment and licensing of asset managers, custodians, and investment firms with the Maltese Regulator, along with advising on the regulatory aspects of corporate acquisitions within the financial services industry.

Recently, Mark has redirected his focus to the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation and has emerged as one of the firm’s leaders in this field. His expertise extends to the authorisation process for new crypto-asset service providers (CASPs) and token issuers, as well as servicing some of the largest CASPs in Malta.

Mark regularly addresses local and international conferences focusing on these regulated sectors. He has also delivered lectures at the University of Malta, the Malta Financial Services Authority, the Institute of Legal Studies, the Institute of Financial Services, and other prominent institutions.
