EIOPA Publishes Additional Information on Member States’ General Good Provisions Published on March 10, 2014 EIOPA’s website has been updated to include additional information on the General Good Provisions adopted by the insurance supervisory authorities of EU/EEA Member States. General Good Provisions are those rules, typically conduct of business and marketing rules, that EU/EEA Member States are permitted to impose on insurance undertakings and intermediaries taking advantage of their European passport right in their territories. EIOPA’s website now contains a list of key general good provisions by category for each EU/EEA Member State. The move is intended to further promote the transparency and ongoing development of cross-border activity in the EU.
