AML & Compliance Executive

We are seeking an AML and compliance executive to join our AML and Compliance team. This role as a compliance practitioner involves managing complex and higher‑risk AML cases, providing quality oversight of junior work, delivering training, handling escalations, and supporting decision‑making within assigned portfolios.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of complex or high risk onboarding and ongoing reviews, managing them autonomously (including PEPs, high risk jurisdictions, complex structures). Lead EDD and complex structure assessments, ensuring methodology is applied consistently and documented clearly.
  • Apply and explain risk assessment methodology and justify rating rationale in complex scenarios.
  • Review and quality check work prepared by Analysts and Assistants, providing constructive developmental feedback.
  • Oversee the accuracy and maintenance of customer information and risk data within internal systems, ensuring it remains up to date and aligned with monitoring and review requirements.
  • Coordinate with partners, MLRO, or Manager on escalations and sensitive risk decisions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients on CDD matters, providing clear guidance on requirements.
  • Deliver targeted coaching sessions and peer training on key topics and support onboarding of new joiners.
  • Serve as departmental point of contact for assigned divisions/practice areas, acting as first line escalation point.
  • Support the preparation of AML documentation and assessments where necessary, ensuring clear and structured output.
