Malta Employment Law Upgrade Session

If you have a good understanding of employment law but are new to Maltese regulations or have recently assumed an HR position in Malta, we have a programme tailored for you! Our Malta Employment Law Upgrade is specifically aimed at directors, HR managers and in-house legal counsel with a good background in employment law generally, seeking a more detailed understanding of the subject.

Once you have a good grasp of the basics, there is no need to attend lengthy, law-explanatory courses to familiarise yourself with the specifics of Malta’s employment law.

In a single two-hour session, we will address the more complex issues and will deliver the training in a practical and engaging manner so that you become more familiar with the local issues. We will focus on the areas that are most relevant to your business by providing real examples, and discussing any queries you may have so that you can hit the ground running.

• Matters relating to contracts of employment, overtime, deductions, post termination restrictions.
• Contractors and reclassification of contractors.
• A brief overview of local employment entitlements.
• Issues relating to remote working.
• Dealing with complex dismissals, disciplinary issues, matters related to performance, an overview of redundancy, and dealing with prolonged sick leave.
• Overview of key decisions of the Industrial Tribunal and forthcoming legal changes.

The session can be carried out at our premises or at your offices.
