Leonard Bonello to participate in FT Board Director Programme launch in Malta

FT Board Director Programme will be launching their Non-Executive Director (NED) Diploma in Malta on the 25th October, during a conference at the Malta Chamber of Commerce that will provide insights into today’s boardroom realities and the value-adds that Directors deliver to Board performance.

Organised by Pearson Purpose and supported by the FT Board Director Programme, the event, entitled ‘Inside the Boardroom: Being an Effective Director In Today’s Corporate Setting’, will see participation of various local figures within the financial services industry who will discuss the value brought about by NEDs, the significance of professional learning, the psychological stressors promoting effective leadership, applications to more specific scenarios within the banking sector as well as the implications brought about by AI technology.

Leonard Bonello, partner within the banking and finance team who leads fintech initiatives within the firm, will be participating in an open discussion about how a director can be a good fit to the board. The discussion will highlight the director’s and board’s decision-making capabilities and behavioural characteristics, the importance of board’s diversity and an understanding of the role and director accountability.
