André Zerafa co-leads the firm’s Investment Services & Funds practice. Until December 2025, he also served as the firm’s managing partner.
André advises promoters on a range of corporate, regulatory, and legal matters related to the operation and licensing of asset management firms, administrators, custodians, prime brokers, and securitisation vehicles. He specializes in structuring alternative investment funds following diverse investment strategies.
Over the years, André has contributed to several Maltese legislative initiatives, most recently in the drafting of a legal instrument on the special limited partnership fund and the issuance of regulatory guidance on setting up family offices in Malta, including changes to the rules around private trust companies and their use of Malta domiciled asset management firms and collective investment schemes.
Additionally, André focuses on sustainable finance transactions and is one of the firm’s leaders in this area. He completed a programme of study in Sustainable Finance organised by the University of Cambridge, Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
André chairs the Wealth/Asset Management Pillar within the Malta Financial Services Advisory Council (MFSAC). He is a council member of the Maltese Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP) and also active within the Malta Asset Servicing Association (MASA). Furthermore, he is a member of the Tokenization Working Group at the European Funds & Asset Management Association (EFAMA).
André occasionally serves as an external examiner and appointed tutor at the University of Malta (Faculty of Laws).
He is an ACAMS Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
