She regularly assists clients on advisory and transactional matters, including ship registration, ship sale and purchase, tonnage tax, and general maritime and commercial law issues. Giannella previously formed part of the corporate and litigation departments, assisting local and international clients with several civil and commercial disputes. Giannella’s work covered a wide range of areas, including company incorporations and liquidations, legal due diligence processes, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Giannella has recently successfully read for a Master’s degree in International Shipping law from Queen Mary University of London and further completed a secondment within the International Dispute Resolution team of a prestigious London law firm, which deepened her knowledge in the area and solidified her interest in shipping litigation. Prior to this, Giannella completed two summer internship programmes within the firm, one within the capital markets department and another within the shipping department, allowing Giannella to gain broad experience across multiple areas of law.
