Roberta Attard


Trainee Advocate | Malta

Roberta Attard is a Trainee Advocate within Ganado Advocates’ insurance team. She regularly assists in the structuring and restructuring of insurance companies, portfolio transfers, mergers and acquisitions, the establishment of protected cell companies and passporting into other EU/EEA jurisdictions.

She also has a keen interest in financial services, company law and human rights. Her Bachelor’s Dissertation, entitled “A critical analysis of the penalty regime contemplated in the ‘Prevention of Money Laundering Act’: a human rights perspective” examines whether the administrative penalty regime under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and Prevention of Money Laundering and Funding of Terrorism Regulations breaches human rights.

Prior to this, Roberta completed two summer internship programmes within the firm, one in the financial crime advisory practice group with the investment services and funds department and another within the litigation department.
