Email Roberta Roberta Carabott Vcard Advocate | Malta Roberta Carabott is an Advocate within Ganado Advocates’ banking and finance team, with her main areas of practice including assisting credit and financial institutions on various regulatory and legal matters applicable thereto, and assisting clients in financing transactions. Roberta provides advice to clients on the legislative and regulatory approach that may be applicable in relation to banking activities and payment and electronic money services, both at pre-licensing or licensing stage and for the purposes of ongoing compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Prior to joining the firm, Roberta formed part of the MFSA’s Banking Supervision Unit, where she was involved in the provision of internal and external legal advice in relation to the supervision of credit and financial institutions, drafting and adoption of relevant legal amendments including the transposition and implementation of EU legislation and regulation into Maltese law, and participation in different fora at a European level.
