Contact Luisa Cassar Pullicino

Luisa Cassar Pullicino is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team at Ganado Advocates. She assists clients across a range of industries on cross-border commercial litigation and international commercial arbitration, with a particular focus on commercial disputes, insolvency matters, and maritime claims.

Luisa has a strong interest in private international law, and has experience coordinating commercial claims across various jurisdictions, obtaining interim relief in support of foreign proceedings, and enforcing foreign judgments and arbitral awards.

She frequently advises clients on corporate insolvency and preventive insolvency litigation, often in contentious, cross-border contexts. Her broader commercial litigation work often has an international element and, more recently, has involved global economic sanctions.

In the transport sector, Luisa has successfully represented clients in the enforcement of maritime claims through vessel arrests and subsequent judicial and court-approved private sales, including where the shipowner was the subject of foreign insolvency proceedings.

Luisa also has experience in international commercial arbitration, having participated in proceedings under ICC, MAC, and ad hoc rules.

She holds a Magister Juris from the University of Oxford (Balliol College), where she specialised in the conflict of laws, international commercial arbitration, and corporate insolvency.

Luisa is a member of the Young International Arbitration Group of the LCIA, AIJA, and is also an Accredited Insolvency Practitioner.
