Nikolai Lubrano is an Associate at Ganado Advocates, forming part of the firm’s asset finance team. He regularly assists clients in obtaining security in shipping and aviation matters and advises on energy-related projects, including but not limited to voluntary carbon markets, energy finance and the opening of EU ETS accounts in Malta.
Over the years, Nikolai completed placements in the firm’s intellectual property, TMT, and data protection practice group, as well as the banking and finance team, focusing on various regulatory matters and financing transactions, including the issuance of bonds on the Malta Stock Exchange. In 2022, he served a 9-month secondment as Malta General Legal Counsel for Phoenix Tower International – a global tower company that is the very first of its kind in Malta.
Nikolai holds an LLM from Trinity College, Dublin, with a focus on international and European business law, specialising in sustainable finance. Nikolai has an ever-growing passion to fight the green fight and believes that the principle of sustainability is the bridge to a clean and just future.
