Business Development Assistant
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Business Development Assistant to support the Business Development & Marketing Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the team’s activities, assisting with event logistics, client relationship management initiatives, marketing projects, business development efforts, and general administrative coordination.
This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and a collaborative approach to working across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Business Development & Marketing Team.
- Manage team calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate internal and external appointments.
- Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and databases.
- Assist with expense tracking, supplier invoices, purchase orders, and budget administration.
Events & Client Engagement
- Support the planning and execution of seminars, conferences, networking events, business breakfasts, and client functions.
- Manage invitations, registrations, attendance lists, and event communications.
- Coordinate with venues, suppliers, speakers, and external service providers.
- Assist with post-event follow-up activities, including attendee reporting and feedback collection.
Marketing & Business Development Support
- Maintain and update CRM and contact databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Support the team in preparing submissions for legal directories, awards, rankings, and industry publications.
- Monitor marketing collateral inventory and coordinate printing requirements when necessary.
Internal Coordination
- Liaise with lawyers, partners, and business services teams to gather information required for marketing and business development initiatives.
- Support internal communications related to events, campaigns, and firm-wide activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- A qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field would be considered an asset.
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within a professional services environment, would be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with CRM systems or contact databases would be beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
