Corporate services officer
We are looking for a person to join our team supporting the firm’s clients in corporate services.
The Corporate Services Officer will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of clients by ensuring effective corporate governance, accurate statutory record-keeping, and timely submission of corporate filings. The role requires regular client interaction, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. The candidate should have a sound knowledge of corporate matters and related Malta Business Registry procedures and should possess diplomacy, good organisational and time management skills and be proficient in secretarial, interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly liaise with assigned client-companies’ board members and other representatives
- Organise and prepare agendas and document packs for board, committee and annual general meetings (AGMs)
- Attend meetings and draft accurate and timely minutes, follow up on action points from meetings
- raft board and shareholder resolutions as required
- Prepare and file statutory forms and annual returns with the Malta Business Registry
- contribute to meeting discussions as and when required, and advise members of the legal and governance implications of proposed policies
- monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment
- liaise with external advisers, such as auditors and other service providers of the clients
- Assist with the daily operational needs and requests of clients
Qualifications – Candidates should preferably hold a professional qualification or formal training in a relevant area of study and at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
