Matthew Brincat at The Malta Chamber gender-based violence session

Matthew Brincat, Partner at Ganado Advocates will be speaking during “Do Not Look Away – Geder-Based Violence is also a Business Issue”, an information session organised by The Malta Chamber, which will be taking place on the 28th October.

The event will explore the role employers can play in addressing gender-based violence and creating safer working environments, including the legal obligations and practical considerations that arise when dealing with harassment and gender-based violence in the workplace.

During his presentation, titled “Legal Obligations regarding a safe working environment free from harassment”, Matthew will address the legal obligations surrounding a safe working environment free from harassment.

The programme will also feature contributions from professionals working across law enforcement, human resources and victim support, followed by a panel discussion examining how employers and HR professionals can support employees who may experience gender-based violence, whether in the workplace or in their private lives.

The session forms part of The Malta Chamber’s initiative funded by the Commission on Gender-Based Violence and Domestic Violence through the “Together we Empower – A Future without Violence” programme.
