Our Restructuring & Insolvency practice is geared to assist various stakeholders which may include distressed businesses, creditors, insolvency practitioners, and potential investors in distressed businesses.

The assistance we provide will vary according to prospects of recovery which a distressed business may be facing. Other aspects which may need to be considered include any cross-border elements, and the possibilities for enforcement which a creditor may have. Sector-specific laws, particularly in shipping and aviation, also need to be given importance.

Our Restructuring and Insolvency team also draws upon the experience of our litigation lawyers and on members of our corporate team who have experience in mergers and acquisitions and in financing transactions.

Over the years we have assisted with restructuring transactions having cross-border elements and others which have been exclusively local in nature, cross-border insolvencies, as well as Maltese insolvencies. We have also regularly assisted various creditors in seeking to recover their dues.
