Roberta Attard is an Advocate within Ganado Advocates’ Capital Markets practice. She assists clients seeking to raise funds on the capital markets through listings, and advises on their regulatory obligations post-listing. Roberta also provides ongoing support with corporate matters, including company incorporations, share transfers, corporate approvals, and general corporate maintenance. She is actively involved in M&A and financing transactions.

Roberta also supports Ganado Advocates’ Insurance team, where she assists with incorporations, restructurings, M&As and legal due diligence exercises related to insurance companies. Additionally, she has experience working with trusts and foundations.

Previously, Roberta was part of Ganado’s Corporate team, where she regularly handled incorporations, liquidations, corporate reorganizations, and M&A transactions involving limited liability companies.

Roberta has a keen interest in financial services, company law, and human rights. Her Bachelor’s dissertation, titled “A Critical Analysis of the Penalty Regime Contemplated in the ‘Prevention of Money Laundering Act’: A Human Rights Perspective,” examines whether the administrative penalty regime under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and Prevention of Money Laundering and Funding of Terrorism Regulations breaches human rights.
