Shipping & maritime law newsletter – Issue no. 31 (April 2021)

Welcome to our 31st edition of the Ganado Advocates shipping & maritime law newsletter.

In this issue, we focus mostly on the environmental impacts of shipping activities, particularly ship recycling and oil pollution preparedness. We also have a look at shipping initiatives with Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) practices in mind and the latest project we have supported in this regard.

This issue also delves into tonnage tax and its implications on crew members. Lastly, we share with you the notices to shipowners and managers as published by the Merchant Shipping Directorate since the start of 2021.

We trust you will find this issue of the newsletter to be of interest. Please feel free to get in touch with us should you require any further information.
